driving through times square in the middle of the day. meatpacking on a saturday nite. mid-town during the holidays. all things most locals avoid as much as possible. but let’s quit kidding ourselves - for all the reasons these areas of the city are jam-packed with out-of-towners and the b+t crowd are the very reasons we found ourselves living in nyc in the first place. the abundance of all things electrifying and unique.
and my favorite this time of year: the 7 giant nutcrackers on 6th ave, just north of rock center.
it took everything for me to not ask someone, probably a tourist, to annoying stop what they were doing and take my picture, a local, in front of one of these colossal nutcrackers.
who doesn’t like feeling 10 again?
