the first day of spring. its finally spring!
we are all so excited for open-toed shoes, cutoffs (yes, they’ve stuck around for another spring/summer) and the newest addition, the jacket.
worn fitted like newcomer French label, IRO (above, and found here)
or comfortably such as your favorite cardigan best represented by O’2nd and their matte satin floral blazer (below, also found here)
pair with your favorite light denim cuttoffs, the everyday loose white tank and go from afternoon gallery visits to champagne cocktails.

in Interview Magazine’s Dec 2012 issue, Larry Gagosian states simply,
“…there were these paintings that just electrified me.”
the electrifying paintings he is referring to would be those of Jean-Michel Basquiat. it was the early 80s. street art was turning the art world upside down.
let’s go back.
Jean-Michel Basquiat has returned home to The Gagosian Gallery on west 24th until april 6th. join me in welcoming him home.
see you there christian.
David Bowie changed his look + hair color more often than most people change their socks.
from Space Oddity to Rebel Rebel (my personal favorite for many reasons) and then to Fame (co-written by John Lennon), Bowie debuted looks that still carry forth from the late 60’s into 2012. wayfares? neon-colored hair? bold striped blazers? yup, Bowie did it all.
“hey babe your hairs alright, hey babe lets stay out tonite
you like me and i like it all, we like dancing and we look divine”
yes, we still do.
